INDIANAPOLIS - An Indiana House Committee is expected to take up school bus safety legislation Wednesday.
A bus safety bill was drafted after three children were stuck and killed boarding a school bus last October in Fulton County.
The bill was authored by State Sen. Randy Head, R-Logansport. It calls for a number of safety changes including curbside pick up and drop off, stop arm cameras and increased penalties for violators. The legislation passed the Senate last month, and may see more changes in the House committee Wednesday.
