SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - The American Democracy Project of Indiana University South Bend and the League of Women Voters of the South Bend Area are inviting voters to participate in a unique new opportunity to get to know the candidates on the primary ballot.

Voters will have an opportunity to chat with candidates in an informal setting by reserving a space for one of three candidate "speed dating" events.

The first "candidating" event is happening Thursday at IU South Bend with South Bend Common Council candidates.

Each candidating event will feature rotating candidates seated around small, round tables, along with food and beverages.

However, you must reserve time slots online in order to speak with candidates on the ballot. Visit IUSB's American Democracy Project page to reserve your spot.
