ISP: Delphi homicide investigation moves in 'new direction'; announcement Monday

DELPHI, Ind. (WNDU) The investigation into the homicide deaths of two teens in Delphi is moving in a "new direction," according to Indiana State Police.

They've invited the public to an announcement on Monday, April 22, at noon. It'll take place at The Canal Center at 1030 North Washington Street in Delphi.

Indiana State Police Superintendent Doug Carter will make an announcement on behalf of the Multi-Agency Taskforce. Additional information will be provided by ISP Chief PIO Capt. David Bursten.

No other information about the announcement has been released.

Thirteen-year-old Abby Williams and 14-year-old Libby German disappeared on Feb. 13, 2017. Their bodies were found the next day.

They were found under the Monon High Bridge, not far from where Libby was able to snap a picture of the man who is believed to have murdered the girls. That man has never been identified.
