SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Google is coming to South Bend. The tech giant is sending a few employees to the city's Goodwill store on Western Avenue.
It's part of an initiative to help Goodwill stores across the country figure out what works in their job-training programs. They're hoping this new insight will help employees better serve our community.
"We will have a better understanding that will help us with continuous improvement so that we ensure as we move forward we can continuously help folks in a better way get to the goals that they have to be able to care for themselves and their families," Goodwill Industries of Michiana President and CEO Debie Coble said.
The program, called the Goodwill Digital Career Accelerator, has trained thousands of Americans in the skills they need to succeed in today's economy.
