GM to hire back a portion of the employees they laid off

Hundreds of GM workers, who had been laid off, are getting their jobs back.

Weak sales forced the company to cut 4,400 jobs at four plants this year.

The company announced it will re-hire some workers from a plant in Lansing, that laid off 1,100 workers.

500 hundred will stay at the same plant, and 180 will go to a Flint facility.

220 more workers will be hired at power plant near Detroit.

Earlier this year, GM said it was investing $1 billion in its plants and adding 7,000 jobs in the U.S.

President Donald Trump made a stop to Michigan Wednesday to meet with auto executives.
