Free Chick-fil-A offered to veterans and their family members

Veterans and their immediate family members can get a free Chick-fil-A meal Wednesday evening at participating Michiana restaurants.

It's all part of Military Appreciation Night.

The Mishawaka Chick-fil-A on Main Street is running the promotion from 5-7 p.m., and the South Bend location in Erskine Commons is offering the deal from 4-7 p.m.

"This is the night that we will be honoring all Veterans, active duty guard and reserve and their families. With the presentation of a valid proof of military service (Military ID card, DD214 papers with a picture ID, or a valid driver’s license with a V on it), you and your immediate family will receive a free meal. Adults will receive an original or spicy chicken sandwich meal and children will receive a 4-count nugget meal."

"Active Duty, Veterans, and discharged service men and women and their families will receive a FREE meal. (Just bring your military ID or DD2-14)The local Veteran's Service Officer will be on hand to meet with those in need of services. The South Bend Riley ROTC will be helping our guests as well. We hope you plan to join us!"
