Former ND football player's plea agreement denied after failed drug screening

A former Notre Dame football player's plea agreement was denied Tuesday after it was revealed that he failed a drug screening.

Max Redfield was arrested in August along with four teammates in Fulton County and faced charges of possession of a hand gun without a license and possession of marijuana.

He was dismissed from the football team the day after the arrest, but he remained enrolled at the school. In October, Redfield revealed that he was dismissed entirely and was no longer allowed on campus.

Redfield is scheduled to be sentenced in January 2017.

Travis Robinson was in court Tuesday, and he'll have a full report on NewsCenter 16 this evening.
