Last February, the Notre Dame community lost a legend when the former President of the University died.
In February 2015, Father Ted's passing was commemorated by thousands of students, alumni and friends from around the country, all whom gathered to pay their respects.
Father Ted was influential in many areas, including higher education, civil rights and the Catholic Church.
Few may know the former University President better than Notre Dame Professor and Author Robert Schmuhl, who had the privilege to get to know Father Ted through a series of interviews, over the course of 50 years.
Robert Schmuhl joined Tricia Harte on 16 Saturday Morning to tell us more about his newly released biography of Father Ted. Click on the interview above to learn more.
If you would like to buy a copy of the book and or have it signed, Robert Schmuhl is hosting a book signing on Saturday from 10a.m.-11:30a.m at the Hammes Notre Dame Bookstore.
