Federal officials are repeating their warning the public of a nationwide scam.
Callers are posing as U.S. marshals or other government officials, claiming victims can possibly avoid arrest for not appearing for jury duty by paying a fine.
Officials say government employees will never contact you and demand payment or personal information by phone or email.
If you believe you have been a victim of this scam, you are encouraged to call the district court clerk's office at 317-229-3700 or the U.S. marshals service at 317-226-6566.
