The FDA has approved a new tool that promises to help you lose love handles without stepping foot in a gym.

One woman from Ohio gave it a try.

For 30 years, Jackie Welling was a fitness instructor. She prided herself on spending hours in the gym and being fit into her 50's.

"I worked out, sometimes three hours a day. High level, loved it, loved it," she says.

Even after four kids, she could rock a bikini.

"I've got a lot of sisters, and I appreciate the time they voted me best abs in the family," Jackie recalls. "I think I already had four kids at the time."

But at 59, with a new career and less time and motivation to hit the gym, Jackie has said goodbye to her six-pack.

For the first time, she's really self-conscience.

"When I look in the mirror, I'm very frustrated with what I see has happened to the middle. It feels sloppy," she says.

Jackie believes that if someone doesn't like something, there's nothing wrong with getting a little cosmetic help. She's decided to try a new procedure that promises to sculpt her belly without stepping foot in a gym.

"I am hoping to be tighter in the middle because I've always been tighter in the middle," she says.

Jackie is trying a new procedure called Emsculpt

Dr. Jon Mendelsohn has spent the last year and a half researching this tool that promises to build muscle and burn fat.

"I don't think it's just for women," he says. "I think a lot of men are going to find this appealing as well. This is catered toward the individual who does take care of themselves, who has stubborn fat, who'd like to build more muscle, who's already fit."

Mendelsohn admits that he's been disappointed by other products in the past that cost a lot and don't produce noticeable results, but he likes the body contouring he's seeing with Emsculpt already.

"What it's doing is that energy is firing the motor neurons, the nerves that contract muscles. And it's like doing 20,000 sit-ups in our 28- or 30-minute session," Mendelsohn explains.

Jackie will need four 30-minute sessions before she starts seeing the fabulous abs she had.

"It's not painful at all," Jackie says.

After six months, Emsculpt is showing 20 percent muscle growth and 24 percent fat loss.

Jackie is just excited to be as confident in her 50's as she was in her 30's and to not have to spend time working out.

"I feel like when I come home at the end of the day, there are so many things that still have to be done. And I know we're supposed to take time for ourselves, but it's really hard," she admits.

Right now, the FDA has approved Emsculpt for the belly, buttocks and thighs. The company hopes to get approval for arms soon.

The cost of each treatment is $1,000, and you would need four sessions.
