ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - The hearing for an Elkhart police officer facing multiple charges was delayed Wednesday afternoon.
The move came as Scott Hupp is undergoing cancer treatment once again, according to The South Bend Tribune.
Hupp is charged with a felony for residential entry at his estranged wife's home and two misdemeanors for harassment. He was expected to agree to a plea deal.
Scott Hupp is accused of breaking into his estranged wife's home.
His stepdaughter says she woke up in her mother's living room and found Hupp standing outside, reaching his arm through a window.
The court hearing has been continued to May 22.
