ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Elkhart County is planning to implement a digital 911 radio system in the coming years.
According to our reporting partners at the Goshen News, the move would put the county in line with most of Indiana. County leaders decided to put off the move because of problems across the state.
The transition to 800 MHz will also improve the county’s interoperability with surrounding counties and the ISP that are already using the digital system.
The new problem should be running by mid-2020.
