UPDATE: Elkhart County death of 3-year-old boy considered accidental

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) - Officials say the death of a three-year-old boy is considered accidental.

According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News, the boy died on farm property along the 64000 block of County Road 9, near Wakarusa, around 6 p.m. Saturday.

Elkhart County Coroner James Elliott said the boy died from blunt force trauma.

The investigation is being handled by the Elkhart County Homicide Unit, which is responsible for investigating, among other cases, "all deaths of children under the age of 18," according to the unit's mission statement.
