The European Union may block Americans from visiting their counties after a spike in coronavirus cases in the United States.

No official decisions have been made yet, but the EU, which is made of 27 member states, wants to focus on the circulation of the virus.

Brussels is reportedly looking to stop travelers from countries where the virus is actively circulating.

It is up to an individual member state of the EU to decide who can enter each country. The discussions are ongoing.
