MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - On a cold, snowy day, it's nice to dream of beautiful flowers and daffodils. Well there's good news….Daffodil Days are coming back to Michiana!
For just $10, you can order a bunch of daffodils. Or for a $25 donation, daffodils will be personally delivered to cancer patients.
"We call it a symbol of hope because daffodils is one of the first flowers of spring," said Senior Coordinator Susan Vandusen. "So when you give this gift of hope to an individual, the smile...it just goes from ear to ear. It's such a heartwarming moment to see."
The money raised through Daffodil Days goes to cancer research, as well as all the many programs offered through the American Cancer Society.
Programs include free wigs for cancer patients in need, and "Road to Recovery", a program that provides rides to and from doctor appointments.
Daffodil Days is March 21st, so you want to get your orders in right away.
To place an order, call (574) 257-9789 option 3.
