ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – Fire crews worked to put out a house fire that started Wednesday night just north of Osceola.

The fire was in the 10000 block of Edison Road, right at the corner of Edison and Ash Road. Crews were sent there around 10:05 p.m., dispatch said. By about 11:15 p.m., the fire was under control.

No people were hurt in the fire, but officials on the scene said two cats were being treated with oxygen and would be taken to an animal hospital for treatment.

Most of the damage was concentrated around the house's garage and attic, but the cause and origin of the fire were not immediately clear.
