UPDATE: Trial pushed back for Mishawaka teen accused of murder, feticide

MISHAWAKA, Ind. (WNDU) - The trial for a Mishawaka teen charged with the murder of 17-year-old Mishawaka High School student Breana Rouhselang has been pushed back.

Along with Rouhselang's murder, 16-year-old Aaron Trejo, a former Mishawaka High School football player, is charged with feticide, as Rouhselang was six months pregnant. Trejo was the father of the unborn child.

Rouhselang was a cheerleader and softball player at Mishawaka High School. Her family reported her missing just hours before her body was discovered in a dumpster behind a Mishawaka restaurant in December 2018.

Trejo reportedly told police he killed Rouhselang because she told him about the pregnancy too late for her to get an abortion.

Trejo has pleaded not guilty. He is due in court next on Aug. 12.

At a pretrial conference at Monday morning, a motion was granted to move his trial date from June 10 to September 9.
