The man who was pulled from a St. Joseph County pool Monday evening has been identified.

Emergency responders were called to a home in the 52000 block of Swanson Drive shortly before 6:15 p.m., according to dispatch.

Upon arrival, they pulled 57-year-old Harold Stiles from the pool. His cause of death is currently undetermined, and toxicology results won't be available for about six weeks.

A dog was also pulled out of the pool, and it survived.

St. Joseph County Coroner Mike McGann tells 16 News Now that Stiles didn't live at the home but was house sitting and dog sitting.

There are no signs of foul play, according to McGann.
