Christmas in Osceola

OSCEOLA, IN. (WNDU)- Kids and their families had a chance to light the town Christmas tree and ask Santa for Christmas presents Sunday in Osceola.

Santa came flying in on a fire truck. He helped to light the tree and listened to what all the children wanted for Christmas.

After posing with Santa everyone enjoyed hot chocolate and cookies, courtesy of Rise-N-Roll.

Despite how snowy it was outside, there was still a strong showing.

"It's really good for the weather tonight we've got a great turnout, there's well over a hundred people that showed up and it's pretty exciting to be able to see all of the kids excited about it and singing carols and everything else," said Pastor Greg Serafino of Osceola Grace Brethren Church.

Organizers said the number of people who show up every year continues to rise.
