Cassopolis man faces drug charges after traffic stop

STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) A Cassopolis man is in jail after police say they found several drugs in his car.

It happened Saturday morning during a traffic stop on the Indiana Toll Road in Steuben County.

During the traffic stop, a trooper smelled marijuana coming from the car of 34-year-old Kondwani Bethea.

After searching the vehicle, police found two glass jars that contained about a half ounce of suspected marijuana.

Police also say they found several pills, about one gram of suspected cocaine and a small bag of what they believe is psilocybin mushrooms.

Bethea is facing several charges, including possession of marijuana, cocaine and controlled substances.
