Buttigieg signs the Climate Action Agenda, opposing Trump's views on the Paris Agreement

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg says he doesn't mind leaving Washington behind when it comes to protecting the environment.

Friday, he announced that he and the city are signing the Mayors' National Climate Action Agenda.

More than 80 mayors from cities across the country have pledged their support for the agenda.

This was after President Trump opted to withdraw the US from the Paris Climate Agreement.

The Climate Action Agenda pledges to strengthen efforts to reduce greenhouse gases and says it's committed to upholding the emissions goals outlined in the Paris Agreement.
