In Benton Harbor, a vacant building in the city's business district collapsed, sending debris into the middle of Main Street on Tuesday afternoon.

According to our reporting partners at

, the building is right across from the Comcast building.

Fortunately, no one was hurt. At the time of the collapse, the street was free of moving traffic.

The building was the long time headquarters for Ridge and Kramer Auto Parts.

Benton Harbor Public Safety officers responded to the scene quickly and blocked it off as crews cleared the street and sidewalk.

The owner had been making plans to open a restaurant and bar in the building.
