A man's body was found in the Elkhart River Thursday evening.
First responders found the body off Pike Street in Goshen, near Rogers Park. A significant portion of the area behind the playground was cordoned off with crime-scene tape.
Police had cleared the scene by approximately 10:30 p.m., but they were in the area where the body was found for several hours.
Officers said they did not suspect foul play as of Thursday evening, but standard procedure was to have the Elkhart County Homicide Unit investigate.
