Barn destroyed in early morning fire

A barn is destroyed after a fire in Howard Township early Friday morning.

It happened in the 800-block of Wadaduga Lane.

The residents tell us two pigs died in the blaze and two horses ran to safety; 170 bales of hay were stored in the more than 70 year old barn.

The Edwardsburg Fire Department assisted at the scene. The cause remains under investigation.
