Arrest in shooting outside Benton Township Meijer

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WNDU) - A Benton Harbor man has been arrested for a March drive-by shooting outside Meijer in Benton Township.

Nicholas Branscumb, 29, of Benton Harbor, is charged with assault with intent to do great bodily harm less than murder, felony firearm, and carrying a concealed weapon.

According to our reporting partners at the Herald Palladium, on March 23, a 34-year-old man told police he was walking between a car wash and Meijer when someone in a car started shooting at him.

The victim wasn't hurt.
