UPDATE: Missing Fort Wayne girl found safe

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WNDU) - Officials have confirmed with NewsCenter 16 that five-year-old Leanna Nicole Herron has been found safe.


An Amber Alert has been declared for a missing girl from Fort Wayne.

Five-year-old Leanna Nicole Herron was last seen on Saturday at 3 p.m. in Fort Wayne, and is believed to be in extreme danger.

Police say she is four feet tall and weighs 69 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a gray sweat suit with white stripes and black and white shoes.

Police say 26-year-old Zyair Jaline Herron is a suspect. He's five-feet-nine-inches tall and weighs 165 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a red and black sweat suit with black boots and a gold grill over his teeth.

Police say he has "ZAMIRAH" tattooed on the left side of his neck and was last driving an older Silver Chevy Malibu with black rims and temporary paper plate.
