Temperatures will be quite cold today with highs only in the low to mid teens, and wind chills near or below zero most of the day. On top of that, northerly winds will bring lake effect snow showers to western parts of our viewing area. The bands will meander back and forth mainly in and around La Porte County this afternoon, moving back westward this evening. Parts of SW Berrien and La Porte counties could see 2 to 5 inches, but it all depends on how much the snow band meanders back and forth. We clear out tonight, I think most of us will be able to see the total lunar eclipse (may be some clouds in western areas). Cold again tomorrow. We will start the day below zero with wind chills as low as -20 in the morning. Highs will be back in the low to mid teens. Briefly warmer again for Tues/Weds with a mix of freezing rain, snow and rain.
