ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. (WNDU) – Investigators believe a Tuesday night house fire in Elkhart County was intentionally set.

Firefighters from three departments responded to the 26000 block of Vista Lane around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday. That is between Jamestown and Dunlap.

According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News, Fire Chief Phil Sumpter says investigators suspect arson was involved, and they're working to determine what caused the fire and where it started.

The house was unoccupied at the time of the fire.

The Elkhart County Sheriff's Office and the state fire marshal's office continue their investigation.
