WOLCOTTVILLE, Ind. (WNDU) - The Indiana Department of Environmental Management has determined the water customers in Wolcottville should boil their drinking water.
This precautionary measure is recommended after a structure fire causes problems with the drinking water, officials said.
The advisory was issued Saturday.
It is recommended that customers bring all cooking and drinking water to a boil for three to five minutes before using.
Wolcottville customers are to remain under the boil water advisory until further notice. According to town officials, the order will be lifted as soon as tests conducted by IDEM show the water is safe. Two samples must be taken at least 24 hours apart.
