In order to be considered for a particular month’s grant new entries must be received by WNDU-TV by noon on the second Monday of each month. Any entries submitted from previous months that haven’t already been awarded grants will be considered for each subsequent month. Grants will be awarded monthly from September through May.

No purchase is necessary.

Grant writers consent to being contacted by any of our committee members, WNDU-TV employees, or Martin’s Super Market employees if any questions arise about the grant submitted. Winner acknowledges that WNDU-TV has the right to publicize "live", on tape, and/or in print or the internet his/her name, likeness, voice, location of home and the fact that he/she wrote the grant proposal and to cover the progress of the grant project.

The school must agree to be available to WNDU-TV and Martin’s Super Markets for purposes of planning, producing and documenting the "grant" presentation.

School to receive grant money must be located in WNDU-TV's 10 county designated market area. The counties are Berrien County (Michigan), Cass County (Michigan), St. Joseph County (Indiana), Elkhart County (Indiana), Lagrange County (Indiana), Starke County (Indiana), Marshall County (Indiana), Kosciusko County (Indiana), Pulaski County (Indiana), and Fulton County (Indiana).

School administrators will be responsible for reporting any grant income in compliance with school corporation policies.

Upon selection, school must agree to sign a waiver and release which holds harmless WNDU-TV, Gray Television Broadcasting, Inc. and Martin’s Super Markets and their affiliated entities, officers, directors, shareholders, contractors, agents and employees from and against all demands, claims, actions, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses, including without limitation, reasonable attorneys fees asserted against or incurred by "grant winner" resulting from participating in the "One School at a Time” grant proposal program.

WNDU-TV and Martin's Super Markets reserve the right to cancel, terminate or suspend this program or any part of this program should any non-authorized intervention, network failure, information storage failure, telecommunications failure, malfunction, or other causes beyond its control corrupt or impair the security, administration, fairness and/or operation of this program as determined by WNDU -TV in its sole discretion. WNDU -TV and sponsors are not responsible for any injury or damage to any computer, modem or other electrical device as a result of participation in this program.

Each month contest judges will pick from among all eligible entries based upon the written entry and these rules.

Entries submitted without entrant’s name, phone number, email address, birth date, and relationship to school, the school’s name and address, and a description of why the “One School at a Time” grant money is needed may be considered incomplete and be disqualified.

The committee may contact the submitter and/or the school’s principal for final approval before awarding the check.

The above rules will be executed and interpreted solely by a panel of judges composed of representatives of WNDU-TV and Martin’s Super Markets and others from the community. WNDU-TV and Martin's Super Markets reserve the right to alter the rules at any time.

The winner will be announced on News Center 16 at 6 on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. The month following a winning grant proposal, WNDU will revisit the school for an “update story” on the progress and to see the "grant money" at work.

The grant money will be awarded directly to the school by Martin's Super Markets.
