With a passion for weather and a love of snow, Kimberly Newman is thrilled to be a new Michiana resident.

Kimberly will help you wake up with the forecast on 16 Morning News alongside Tricia Sloma and Joshua Short.

Kimberly earned her meteorology degree from SUNY Oswego in upstate New York where she studied lake effect snow, water spouts and a slew of severe weather phenomenon. After a brief stint in Macon, Georgia, during the historic Super Tornado Outbreak, she moved to the Glass City of Toledo. Kimberly has been honored as an outstanding media partner to the Arc of Lucas County and nominated for three Emmy awards.

In her spare time, you can find Kimberly checking out the newest restaurants in town or strolling along the river walk with her rescue dog, Ginger.
