Zach Horner

Multimedia Journalist

Zach Horner, a Michiana native, brings a variety of experience to the WNDU newsroom as a multimedia journalist.

Zach grew up in Elkhart and attended Concord High School, graduating in 2004. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Telecommunications-News Option from Ball State University.

Zach is no stranger to 16 News Now; during that time he interned at WNDU in 2007 and later worked as a production assistant in between semesters of school in 2008.

After graduating Zach had a strong desire to help others which brought him to a Master of Arts in Counseling with a focus on addictions and dual diagnosis treatment from Hazelden Graduate School in 2011. He still holds an active clinical license with the State of Michigan.

Come 2015, the news bug got him. He made the switch back to news, working at FOX28 in Elkhart as a photojournalist, then later moving to reporter at NBC affiliate WOOD-TV in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Then after a trip out west to KOIN6 in Portland, Oregon, he got the call to report the news in Michiana and couldn't be happier to be back home.
