Carli Luca

Carli Luca works as an investigative reporter at WNDU-TV in South Bend. She was recognized by the Indiana Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists for her investigative reporting work in 2020 & 2021 as part of their "Best of Indiana" journalism awards. The same organization awarded her first place for her continuing coverage of a series of barn burnings in 2021. She has continued sharpening her investigative skills as part of the FOIA Fellowship Class of 2022 at DePaul University’s Center for Journalism Integrity and Excellence, as a member of Investigative Reporters and Editors Inc., and by pursuing her Master’s in Legal Studies at Purdue University Global.

Carli worked as a News Producer for WNDU-TV for three years before moving to an investigative role full-time. Prior to working in television, she was behind the mic on the radio. From May 2017 to July 2019 she was News Director for News Now Warsaw 1480 AM & 99.7 FM, Classic Hits 107.3 WRSW FM, and Willie 103.5 in Warsaw and hosted the award-winning public affairs show “IN The Know”. Carli was also the regional reporter for the Pat Miller Program on WOWO News/Talk 1190 AM & 107.5 FM in Fort Wayne in 2019. She worked as the Morning News Anchor on 1400 KLIN in Lincoln, Nebraska before moving to the Hoosier state.

Carli received her undergraduate degree from Allegheny College and honed her broadcasting abilities at the Ohio Media School. She's a Cleveland native who enjoys rock music, reading & attending community events. She's known for her love of pop culture and Halloween.
