Concord High School student brings gun to school

ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - A Concord High School student is now in custody after school officials say they brought a gun to school on Monday.
According to our reporting partners at The Goshen News, an unloaded 9mm gun was found inside a student’s backpack, along with a switchblade and bullets in the student’s pants pocket.
The student is being held at Elkhart County Juvenile Detention Center and could be charged with possession of a firearm and possession of a knife while on school property.
School officials say the student will not be returning to Concord High School.
