Holcomb honors northwest Indiana woman with Sagamore of the Wabash award

MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. (WNDU) - Indiana Gov. Eric Holcomb is a recognizing a northwest Indiana woman with one of the state’s top honors.

Holcomb awarded Heather Ennis, president and CEO of the Northwest Indiana Forum, with the prestigious Sagamore of the Wabash during a luncheon on Tuesday in Michigan City.

The Sagamore of the Wabash is one of the highest distinctions in the State of Indiana, reserved for individuals who have made significant and lasting impacts on the state and its communities. It is awarded to those who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, service, and dedication to the betterment of Indiana.

Holcomb is honoring Ennis for her work in bringing economic development to northwest Indiana. Among her accomplishments is developing a new marketing strategy to bring business to the struggling region.
