Capital Avenue situation ends peacefully

PENN TOWNSHIP, Ind. (WNDU) - UPDATE: Police have cleared the scene after discovering the individual was not armed as previously thought.
He had an airsoft gun, and had not responded to police commands, prompting the tense situation earlier this morning.
St. Joseph County Police tell us the man was not arrested.

ORIGINAL STORY: Police are confronting a suspect in the area of Day Road and Capital Avenue in Penn Township.
Not much is known right now, but we have a crew on-scene and are hoping to learn more from officials within the next few hours.
