(WNDU) - The weather was finally cooperative here in Michiana, allowing local high school baseball and softball games to take place Monday.


Penn 11, Riley 0

The Kingsmen blanked the Wildcats thanks to a one-hit shutout by pitchers Brayden Shoetzow and Ben Gregory.

Meanwhile, Gregory and Zac David had two RBIs each as Penn picks up its second win of the season.

John Glenn 1, Adams 0

This one was a scoreless pitcher’s duel until the Falcons took a one-run lead in the sixth inning.

Falcons pitcher Colin Stephens was able to finish off the complete game shutout on the mound, improving John Glenn’s record on the season to 2-0.

Tippecanoe Valley 16, Triton 0

Cameron Manuel tossed a five-inning perfect game in his first start of the season. He struck out all 15 batters he faced.

The Vikings are 1-0 on the season.


Marian 12, Washington 0

Grace O’Hara scored two runs on two hits. Kaitlin Pratt added two RBIs while striking out nine in the circle.

The Knights are 1-0 on the season.
