SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) -Anna Moss and Riley Blair from Girl Scout troop 54159 jumped into the spotlight with Jack Springgate on 16 News Now Sunday Morning.

Both of them are graduating seniors making this their final year in the troop.

The Girl Scouts are known for their cookies, making sure to bring some Thin Mints and Caramel deLites to the studio, but they’re much more than that.

Anna and Riley told us how they’ve made lifelong friendships and learned valuable skills that prepared them for this next phase in life after high school.

They also reflected on the memories that will always stay with them.

“Girl Scouts made me come out of my shell. I used to be really shy. So, meeting a bunch of girls who are outgoing, especially [Anna]--confidence has definitely gone up since I was younger and it’s a blessing that I got to be part of it,” Riley said.

Girl Scout cookies are still on sale until March 14th.

You can find a list of physical locations in our area where you can get cookies or learn how to get them shipped to you by following this link.
