SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Thursday’s 77-56 win for Notre Dame over Clemson brought them one step away from an unbeaten record at Purcell Pavilion this season.

The #14 Irish dominated Clemson from the opening -- leading by seven at the end of the first frame. Notre Dame led by double digits for the entirety of the 2nd half.

Sonia Citron led the team on the boards -- including the scoreboard -- racking up 23 points and 13 rebounds, both game-highs for either team. Maya Dodson also added 20 points on a ruthlessly efficient night from the floor, sinking nine of her eleven shots.

The last obstacle in the way of Notre Dame achieving a perfect home record this season is a big one; they’ll play the Louisville Cardinals on Sunday at Noon. The last time these two teams met was just two weeks ago, when the Cardinals destroyed the Irish 73-47.
