SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - A South Bend man has been arrested after leading police on a chase Thursday night.

Thursday, a state trooper noticed a car he recognized that eluded him on Wednesday.

The officer tried to stop the car, but the driver blew past a stop sign at West Colfax Avenue and Kaley Street.

The driver, 19-year-old Josiah Salinas, led troopers down multiple streets, eventually stopping on the 1800 block of Lincoln Way West where a woman exited the car before it sped off down an alley.

The chase ultimately ended up on Kaley Street.

Officers found a loaded handgun, marijuana, and ecstasy in the car.

Salinas faces multiple charges, including reckless driving and operating while intoxicated.
