First Alert Forecast: Hot a steamy through the weekend
Temperatures will be warming back to the upper 80s this weekend
SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) -
Temperatures and dew points will gradually warm through the weekend. Rain chances will stay in the forecast, but much like the last couple of days they will be scattered. The average high this time of year is around 78° and temperatures will stay above that until next Tuesday. Morning temperatures will reflect the increase humidity with most days only cooling to around 70°. A weak cold front will help bring drier air to the area starting Saturday night and Sunday with morning temperatures coming back into the 50s and 60s.
WEDNESDAY NIGHT: Showers end early, and the warm and Muggy evening will feature some cloud cover. Patchy morning fog possible. Low of 68.
THURSDAY: A few light showers and patchy fog early in the day with a better chance for more scattered showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon and early evening. Locally heavy downpours could be possible. High of 84.
FRIDAY: Ending the week with a little more sunshine but remaining hot and humid. A few isolated showers or thunderstorms during the afternoon hours are possible. Otherwise, dry. High of 86.
LONG RANGE: A few isolated storms are possible Saturday, but more sunshine is likely over the weekend as it will remain hot and humid. More sunshine to begin next week with less chances for rain next week but also a period where some cooler temperatures could set in and give us a break from the heat. We will be watching that, but for now keep an eye to the sky!
