Penn High School grad Annie Drews makes Team USA Volleyball team

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - On Monday, the USA Olympic volleyball team was announced.

History was made in the announcement. One of the 12 names on the team who will try and win Gold is Penn High School graduate Annie Drews.

Not only is the Elkhart native Drews the first Purdue volleyball player to compete in the Olympics, she is also the first woman from the Hoosier State to make the Olympic volleyball roster.

Purdue volleyball head coach Dave Shondell tweeted his excitement for his former player.
