Masks are now optional for fully vaccinated fans going to South Bend Regional
Friday’s game will be the first sold out sporting event in South Bend since the pandemic began.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - On Thursday, Notre Dame announced if you are fully vaccinated with either the Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson and Johnson vaccines - masks are optional for this weekend.
Notre Dame encourages those who are not fully vaccinated to continue to wear masks on campus.
Friday’s game will be the first sold out sporting event in South Bend since the pandemic began.
Notre Dame will match up with Central Michigan in the first game of the South Bend Regional. First pitch is at 1 PM. Fans who are not attending can watch the game on ESPN 3.
The Irish beat the Chippewas 8-4 back on April 13 earlier this season.
