Wednesday’s Child: K’ymari likes to read
Mich. (WNDU) - All the great things about 10-year-olds can be summed up by meeting K’ymari. He’s energetic, creative, kind, responsible and driven. He’s also looking for a new family to adopt him.
K’ymari is a Michigan foster child is featured in a Grant Me Hope video. (Grant Me Hope is a non-profit organization that highlights the stories of foster children in need of adoption. WNDU is partnering with Grant Me Hope to share the stories of foster children from Michigan.)
According to Michigan Adoption Resource Exchange, K’mari is a polite boy who knows right from wrong. He has a strong need to help others and wants to serve his community when he grows up.
“When I grow up, I want to be a cop because I want to help people and I want to do the right thing when I get older and be a good person,” K’ymari said.
K’ymari likes to play outside on his hoverboard. He also likes to shoot hoops! K’ymari is an active boy who is also very curious. He would like to visit Antarctica someday just to see the polar bears. For now, he’ll just enjoy looking at their pictures in a book. Afterall, K’ymari is an avid reader.
“I’m a very good reader,” said K’ymari. “I got some books for Christmas. I got a whole series of books. It’s called ‘The Diary of a Wimpy Kid’.”
K’ymari would like to be adopted by a family that has pets. He’s a big fan of animals!
“I like animals. I like bunnies. I like frogs. I like lizards. I like dogs. I love dogs. I like cats,” said K’ymari.
Smart, funny and kind are words that K’ymari uses to describe himself.
