SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Wednesday may be St. Patrick’s Day. However, the Notre Dame baseball team hasn’t experienced much luck this season - because they don’t need it.

The Irish are 7-2 overall and have not lost an ACC series in 2021.

In the spirit of St. Patrick’s Day, Irish manager Link Jarrett says he’s lucky to coach a great group of kids.

“Very lucky,” Jarrett said. “Obviously you know these guys have really prepared hard. The preparation and grind of the guys has made this very enjoyable and we’ve been lucky at times.”

Notre Dame will be lucky enough to finally play the first home game of the Jarrett era on Friday.

First pitch is against Duke at 4 PM on ACC Network Extra.
