16 Morning News Now’s Joshua Short caught up with a familiar face to many of you.

NBC News Political Dir. and Moderator of Meet the Press Chuck Todd joined Josh on Facebook Live Wednesday morning to talk about the new Transportation Secretary, former South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg.

He discussed Buttigieg’s new role and the impact he’s had on the Democratic Party this past year.

It’s been a year since Josh and Chuck last spoke, in Iowa during the infamous Iowa Caucuses, so much has happened since. A pandemic, a new president, another presidential impeachment, among other things.

“I mean we’re basically at the one year anniversary of the Iowa Caucuses and who knew how foreshadowing, the inability to get a result, the fact that we couldn’t find out who really won the caucuses for a while,” Todd said.

“If you recall the final poll was thrown out because they had a contamination issue with it with some potential know, it turned out the Iowa Caucuses and all of the problems surrounding it only ended up foreshadowing the crazy 2020 year that we all ended up experiencing.”

Josh and Chuck also discussed COVID-19 relief, the second impeachment of Donald Trump and party politics. You can watch the entire Facebook Live on our WNDU Facebook page or by clicking here.
