Ind. (WNDU) - The St. Joseph County Jail continues to deal with COVID cases among inmates.

Ten days ago, 35 inmates tested positive, now there are 30 inmates in that category.

And eight members of the jail staff were positive 10 days ago; that number has climbed to 10.

Sheriff Bill Redman is awaiting test results on 75-to 100 additional inmates.

He says the total jail population is down about 30 inmates from ten days ago.

Officials with the Elkhart County Jail say they’re currently isolating two inmates who tested positive.
