ELKHART, Ind. (WNDU) - Happening today, residents from the Waterfall High Rise in Elkhart started moving out of the building for their temporary living arrangements.

We told you yesterday how at least 15 of the residents here accepted an offer to move to a hotel while work is done to repair the building’s elevator.

The ten-story tall high rise planned on having their elevator fixed by today, but those plans were pushed back to early next week.

The Elkhart Housing Authority secured a grant for more than half a million dollars to replace the elevators at the Waterfall High Rise.
