SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) - Scattered showers will persist overnight with some heavier pockets of rain and perhaps a rumble of thunder possible. Temperatures will be sliding into the low to mid 60s as the rain falls. Early tomorrow our first batch of rain comes to an end, but we leave the cloud cover around for much of the day with a chance for a scattered shower or thunderstorm through the afternoon and evening. The high on Sunday will reach 78.

Overnight Sunday and then into Monday the chances for scattered showers and maybe a rumble of thunder stick with us. A few isolated showers are possible into Tuesday before we dry out! Temperatures this week will drop into the lower to middle 70s as a nice summer cooldown is on the way. This cooldown lasts through the week and we feel more comfortable with less humidity across Michiana. As we head closer to next weekend things warm back up near normal and we see another chance for some rain as well.

TONIGHT: Scattered showers and perhaps some heavier rain moving through. The chance to hear some thunder as well. Low of 64.

SUNDAY: Scattered showers possible throughout the day. We start to cool off. A few peeks of sun possible in the afternoon. High of 78.

SUNDAY NIGHT: Another chance to see scattered showers as another system approaches.

MONDAY: Scattered showers with a few peeks of sun possible. High of 76.
