Widespread damage is being reported across Michiana after a line of thunderstorms hit the area around 10 a.m. Monday morning, bringing strong winds, heavy rain and lightning.

Witnesses are reporting trees and power lines down all over Michiana, some landing on cars and houses and many blocking roads.

NewsCenter 16 found nearly a dozen trees down in Woodington Court in Granger, off Gumwood. At least three trees landed on a garage and others are blocking several roads in the subdivision.

So far there are no reports of injuries.

We have multiple crews around Michiana and we'll have the latest coming up on NewsCenter 16 starting at 5.
